Black Sabbath already know they're a winner at the "Classic Rock Roll Of Honor."  The band has been tapped as this year's Living Legend at the "Classic Rock" magazine event.

But the group could leave with other awards as well.  Six of the 17 categories are fan-voted, and Sabbath is in the running in three of them.   They're up for Band of the Year, Album of the Year with 13, and Event of the Year for topping the chart with 13.

And Sabbath is facing competition from other veteran rockers.  David Bowie and The Rolling Stones are also three-time nominees with nods for Band of the Year and Event of the Year.  Bowie also meets Sabbath in the album category with his first release in nine years, The Next Day.  The Stones' third bid is for Film/DVD of the Year for their documentary Crossfire Hurricane.

Other rockers could receive recognition as well.  Iron Maiden is another Band of the Year contender, while Led Zeppelin and Ginger Baker are also included in the Film/DVD category.  Fleetwood Mac, Deep Purple, and Black Star Riders are nominees as well, along with Blue Oyster Cult, King Crimson, The Moody Blues, and others.  The "Classic Rock Roll Of Honour" will be presented in a ceremony in London on Thursday.
